Pretty in Pastels

Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter yesterday! I received an obscene amount of candy (yes, at this age I still get candy for Easter!) So much for starting my cleanse today. Guess I will have to wait till after all my chocolate is completely gone. Oopsie.

I love this time of year…. it was SO beautiful outside yesterday. Walking around and seeing the tulips start to spring up makes me so happy! They’re my favorite flower! I  spent the day with my boyfriend’s family, surrounded by all of his cousin’s little ones. So cute! I loved seeing them in their pastel Easter outfits, running around outside searching for the hidden eggs and putting them in their baskets. Which inspired me for todays blog: Pretty in Pastels.

I love love love wearing pastels. I seriously can’t get enough of it! They are such pretty, soft, feminine colors to wear and feel beautiful in this time of year. Plus after the gruesome winter we had here in New York, it’s refreshing to wear happy, sunny, upbeat colors! It’s fun to wear neutrals with a pop of pastel. One of my favorite things to wear is a great pastel pant.

Shop Hopes has really great pastel pants right now for a great price! (All under $40!) From light peach, mint to pink ombre, they have it all! They all come in a stretchy fit- making them super comfortable to wear all day long. You can pair these with a simple, solid color shirt (like white, black, or cream) or heck, why not double up on the pastel and pair them with a light colored top in an opposite color! These can be transformed from day to night by simply adding a cute pair of wedges or strappy heels and a cute blazer!

For those of you who know me really well…. you know I live in skirts! I just love them! My favorite kind are midi skirts (that go just a little past your knee.) My favorite way to wear them are a shirt tucked in, with a cute skinny belt! So cute and classy. And a great way to stay cool!

One of my favorite online boutiques- The Red Dress Boutique has gorgeous pastel skirts for a really decent price. Tiffany blue is my all time favorite color (you should see my bedroom- it’s like a Tiffanys box exploded all over the place- yay!) Check out this pretty pastel skirt they have…. with an exposed gold zipper in the back and feminine pleats- what’s not to love:

Who doesn’t love a great blazer? I pretty much own one in every single color of the rainbow. It’s kind of a problem actually. I can’t help it… they are just so amazing! My favorite style blazer is the boyfriend blazer- so roomy and comfy, yet super sleek and stylish. They dress up any outfit instantly! Forever 21 is great place to get pastel blazers… usually always under $30! They have some great Spring colors- like pale blue, coralpeach and ivory. Check out some of my favorites they have currently:
