April Showers Bring….. FLORALS!

The Upstate Stylista blog

I’m a girly girl. We all know this. Which means when Spring hits, I get really excited {like a little kid on Christmas morning} to whip out my Spring wardrobe…. consisting of lots of pastels and of course lots of feminine FLORALS! A colorful floral print can jazz up any outfit in the matter of seconds. Say you have on a simple pair of skinny jeans and basic white tank top…. just throw on a colorful floral blazer and instantly you are the most stylish girl in the room!

Shop Hopes has the most adorable pair of shorts with a scalloped hemline and floral print. I love that they are black with bright corals, blues, violets and some pops of beige, which makes them super versatile to wear with a lot of things in your closet. You could dress them up with a pair of nude heels and cute blouse for a night out, or dress them down with a pair of gladiator sandals and solid color t-shirt.

Shop Hopes has another really adorable pair of shorts that are high-waisted with pops of blues and pastel pinks which make them a fun, super feminine Spring staple to have in your wardrobe. You can pair these with a long sleeved jean shirt for those days that a little on the cooler side or step up the girly-ness of them with a lace top tucked in. Either way, these shorts will make you noticed no matter how you wear them!

Modern Ego has the most beautiful floral dress right now that is super versatile to wear in different ways. It can be worn as is but dressed up with a pair of heels or cute wedges for a night out, or you can pair it with a cute girly bow belt and statement necklace for a lunch date with girlfriends. Or even on those days when the weather is still a little iffy, you could pair the dress with a pair of texturized tights and little booties.

The Dress Up Boutique has a beautiful bright orange and blue kimono to wear on those warm Spring days! I love how loose and flowy it is, making it a great flirty, feminine staple piece. You can pair this with jeans or a pair of shorts, even add a cute belt to synch in the waist a little to add some shape.

J. Crew Factory Store has the most darling floral flats ever right now! I will definitely be purchasing these and most like pairing them with a pair of cuffed boyfriend jeans, t-shirt and pastel blazer! You could even wear a solid color dress and these shoes are the perfect touch to add a little bit of girlyness. They come in two different prints- floral and bright hydrangea.

Kate Spade (my FAVORITE designer in the whole entire universe) has the prettiest, most delicate floral scarf with literally every color imaginable- making it extremely versatile! It is mixed with pinks, yellows, blues, corals, purples, greens….. *sigh….* so girly and sweet! It reminds me of a Claude Monet painting- which is why I think I am so in love with it. Monet is my all time favorite artist! Sooooo basically…. this scarf needs to be in my life. Like yesterday.

I always say I was meant to live down south so I could wear Lilly dresses ALL year round. These are some of my favorite Lilly dresses that are currently on the website:
